There are an endless number of “hangover cures”, electrolyte products, charcoal supplements, hangover pills, drinks and patches all claiming to prevent or cure a hangover. But given we told you that hangovers are (1) quite complex and (2) caused by the processes described [link to earlier article] here, you know that there’s a number of things you can do to help...
So how can you support your body while drinking?
- Don’t forget to take your AWKN before you sleep. AWKN is all natural and contains a number of ingredients to support your liver (like milk thistle), reduce inflammation in your body (like curucumin) and rebalance your stomach (like probiotics), to make sure you wake up fresh
- Hydration. Alcohol acts as a diuretic resulting in increased urination and thus dehydration, so keep up your water intake!
- Eat up! Drinking on an empty stomach speeds up the absorption of alcohol into your body
- Drink lighter coloured drinks. This is probably a “story” you’ve heard, but yes, this is a thing. Darker drinks contain a higher volume of congeners, which are mildly toxic chemicals, and ultimately can result in more extreme hangover symptoms.
