That experience sparked my passion to share Korea’s time-honoured recovery rituals, especially those traditionally used before and after moments of celebration with a wider audience.
“For years, I found myself holding back at social gatherings with alcohol, due to a common sensitivity experienced by many people of East Asian descent often referred to as “Asian Flush.” The visible effects made me feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.

With AWKN, I’ve found a personal ritual that lets me immerse myself in life’s celebrations with newfound confidence and joy.

We took our first step creating AWKN to address something that was a real issue in our lives and we wanted to bring something personal from our culture and heritage. It's important that we get to share that journey with you and invite you to take part in it.
